A leading Macclesfield choir will perform in one of Cheshire's oldest churches.

Macclesfield Male Voice Choir will take to the stage at St. Peter's Church in Prestbury next month.

St. Peter's Church, located on The Village, is the venue for a concert of sacred and church music on Saturday 7th October.

The event in the 803-year-old place of worship begins at 7.30pm.

The night of great music will include lively spirituals, well-known hymns and songs of worship as well as some more contemporary pieces.

There will also be organ solos from Director of Music - Christopher Cromar, a sight not to be missed in the elegantly furnished church.

The concert will be quickly followed by another. A week later at 7.30pm on Saturday 14th October at Wilmslow's United Reformed Church, MaccMVC will be sharing the concert with Backbeat Acappella ladies choir.

Tickets for both events are £15 each (under 18s at £5), and will be available from choir members, on their website, or via email to [email protected] or call 07471 230513.

Tickets are also available at Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre on Market Place, and Bollington Library.
