Macclesfield Cricket Club volunteers honoured with Mayor’s Civic Award

Cricket club volunteers have been recognised for their efforts.
Macclesfield Cricket Club picked up the Sporting and Leisure Civic Award at the 2025 Mayor's Civic Awards on Sunday (May 11).
These awards celebrate individuals and groups making outstanding contributions to the community.
The cricket club was honoured in recognition of the tireless dedication, passion and positive impact of its volunteers, many of whom give their time week in, week out, to supporting players of all ages and abilities.
From running junior junior coaching sessions and maintaining grounds to organising events and keeping the club running behind the scenes, these volunteers play a vital role in making the club a welcoming and inclusive community hub.
Andrew Bradshaw, chair of Macclesfield Cricket Club said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive this award on behalf of everyone who gives their time so generously to the club.
"It's a wonderful acknowledgment of the spirit, commitment, and teamwork that makes Macclesfield Cricket Club such a special place for so many people."
