A Macclesfield dance school is celebrating finding a permanent home in the town centre.

Energize Cheshire, which is ran by Gawsworth sisters Vanessa and Bethaney Kimpton, has moved into a new premises on Brook Street, located just off Sunderland Street.

Their centre will offer different styles of dance including freestyle, slow and street, gymnastic and tumble track acrobatic, in classes for children of all ages and genders from the Macclesfield area.

They also offer a stay and play session for babies and mums to meet up during the pandemic, and they also offer their studio out - including there equipment - for anyone who might be interested.

The siblings spoke to Macclesfield Nub News about their new centre, which they moved into in May.

"It is amazing to have our own space, a huge weight lifted off our shoulders," said Vanessa.

"We've been in three different spaces before we have found our fourth and hopefully final home."

"It is a dream come true", added Bethaney.

Vanessa and Bethaney founded the Macclesfield dance school in 2017, but have learned dance since they were toddlers.

The mum of the qualified teachers used to take them to a dance school in Burnley, which also has the Energize name.

The Macclesfield classes currently house 15 in the room due to coronavirus, but the room is big enough to potentially hold 30 kids per class.

"Each session is different, more or less about 45 minutes per class but we do do packages where they can try everything: dance, gymnastics and a tumble track acrobatics," said Vanessa.

"There's no greater feeling in the world than moving to a piece of music and letting the rest of the world disappear.

"With everything that has gone on, it is a place to come to make new friends, meet new people, have fun and let out steam let their hair down and have a good time together. The kids come in and are just so energetic.†

"Our main source of advertising is Facebook. You can also message us directly there and we'll sort a place for your child.

"We have a lot of parents message through our website. All of our contact details are on our Facebook page as well.†

Bethaney added: "We are normally pay as you go but with COVID we are doing pre-booking to keep numbers limited. Normally we can accept whoever comes on the day."

"All classes are different prices - but those who want to try everything Energize has to offer has the weekend three classes for £10," Vanessa also said.

"Through the week we have an offer of three classes for £10. And you can drop in to either the weekday or weekend sessions to fill that. We have a lot of people come in on a Tuesday or a Saturday".

Three classes a week is £10
