Two Macclesfield men have produced a groovy new Northern Soul single.

Macclesfield born-and-bred duo Steve Whittaker and Eric Waite have co-produced two northern soul influenced singles, that would fit right into Wigan Casino.

The Macclesfield pair teamed up with Yorkshire vocalist Carla Omertà to complete the tracks.

Satisfy is two minutes of high octane Coca Cola-fuelled northern soul, which you can listen to on this link.

Meanwhile, B-side Stronger is a sultry, slow dance which showcases the best range of singer Carla Omerta's vocals, and can be listened to by clicking HERE.

A launch party for the songs was held in Macclesfield earlier this month. Steve explained how the collaboration came to be.

"I contacted Carla in September 2022," he said.

"Carla has been a Singer for over 30 years and is known Internationally so we felt lucky she engaged with us.

"I've played bass guitar as a hobby for 35 years, but I'm not a professional musician. I love twanging it.

"Eric has a background in music and is a self taught sound engineer, we both went to Wigan Casino Club from 1975 to 1980, and many other all-nighter clubs.

"Our Careers took over preventing attendance at all-nighters, but in 2015 we went back to dancing and still go now.

A launch party was held in Macclesfield on March 16.

"Carla chose two of our tracks and wrote lyrics for both then took them to a studio in Leeds to record vocals.

"I was blown away with what she produced. So we decided to put Satisfy and Stronger on vinyl.

"Carla got in touch with Sonic Wax Records [who specialise in the genre], and we ordered 100 copies.

"But myself and Eric do not do this for money, it's enjoyment.

"Carla is a professional artist so she has dealt with the business side, we are delighted how this collaboration has turned out and hope to do more with Carla.

"Thank you to the people of Macclesfield for their support."
