Macclesfield: There will be a new charity shop coming to Chestergate next month.

Well, sort of new! East Cheshire Hospice Shop Chestergate will open their doors for the first time since March 2020.

The unit on 95 Chestergate, will sell clothing and accessories to raise funds for the Millbank Drive good cause which provides support to those suffering from life-limiting illness.

East Cheshire Hospice's Marketing Manager Luke Brightmore is elated for the reopening.

"We couldn't be happier to be opening our new shop on Chestergate in Macclesfield on Saturday May 7," said Luke.

East Cheshire Hospice has served our town since 1988, and rely on public donations, so will be boosted by the charity shop revenue.

"Our retail shops are a hugely important part of our fundraising, and also an important connection to our community.

"Not only does selling your donated clothing, furniture and goods help raise vital funds for the Hospice and the work we do, but having these locations out in our communities where people can visit, interact and support us really helps to maintain that special bond that we have with our community.

"East Cheshire Hospice Shop Chestergate will be opening in the same premises as our previous Chestergate shop which was closed at the beginning of the pandemic.

"However, the new shop will look and feel completely different, with a bright and modern yet rustic atmosphere throughout its two floors.

"The new shop on Chestergate will sell only the most beautiful pieces of clothing, accessories and other pre-loved items, and will also be an eco-conscious shop, striving for little to no unnecessary waste.

"We're really looking forward to opening up and greeting customers into the newly refurbished shop soon!"

Donations are now welcome at the shop between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Those who have items to donate before May 7 should please ring the doorbell outside.

If you wish to volunteer, please call 01625 511 997.
