Every Thursday, we publish a round-up of the best things to do in Macclesfield.
Some of which, are events which are advertising themselves for FREE on our Macclesfield Nub News What's On section.
As well as the Treacle Market, there are plenty of great events happening in town this weekend.
Here are our picks...
Giant Cake
Macclesfield grab-and-go coffee spot Yas Bean will be hosting a big cake event this Saturday.
And when we say big, we mean massive, massive cake.
It will be a 24 layer chocolate cake which Yas Bean describes "as is the stuff of dreams/nightmares".
It comprises 8kg of Belgian dark chocolate, and each slice is over 800g.
On the day - slices will be first come, first served. No savesies, no reservations, just turn up to the chaos. And enjoy some locally-roasted coffee, alongside the delicious cake.
Yas Bean is located on 219 Buxton Road, SK10 1NB, and is open from 9-4 on Saturday.
Karaoke Challenge
This event has been listed on our Macclesfield What's On section for months, and it is finally here!
A Macclesfield karaoke tournament will kick off this Friday.
The Last Orders on 116-118 Park Ln, Macclesfield SK11 6UA will be the first of a rotating cast of venues, to declare Macc's best karaoke singer.

Entrants will sing 2 songs, and no professional singers are allowed. The winner of the final will have the chance to perform on the MaccPride™ stage on Saturday July 9.
Classical Music
Have you ever been to a concert at The Heritage Centre on Roe Street?
They're quite enchanting, and often host the nation's best classical musicians.
On Saturday evening, the Northern Chamber Orchestra with horn player Ben Hulme will take the stage.
Strauss and Mendelssohn are amongst the great composers that will be performed.
Tickets: £23.00 stalls, £18.00 gallery. Meanwhile, full time students and Under 18s go free.
