Macclesfield: Food and drink offers during England World Cup matches at Silktown Snooker Club

Free pizza, discounted pints and more special offers are being held for the World Cup at a central Macclesfield venue.
Silktown Snooker Club, located on Green Street, are pulling all the stops out for the Qatar World Cup, with special offers on for all England matches.
Tom Livesley, who is one of three managers at Silktown Snooker Club, explained what was on offer.
"Our plan is what we have done for every group game is that each England game has got their own special deal, whether it is for food or drink," he said.
"This will of course continue should England get to the knockout stage.
"For every England game, it will be £3.50 a pint until the first goal is scored and half an hour before kick-off. [That includes whether the goal is scored for or against England].
"It will be quite busy as we have a lot of indoor booths and outdoor heating booths, and we have ten TVs to watch it on.
"The Euros [last year] was absolutely manic. We had 250 people in for the final.
"For the Iran game with it being a 1pm kick-off, we are trying to attract some of the lunchtime crowd. So we will be opening earlier at 12pm, which is three hours earlier than we normally open.
"On arrival, we will have free slices of pizza at the bar. This game takes place next Monday November 21.
"For the USA game, we will be doing a free hot dog with your first pint. And that game is on a Friday evening so it is going to be very packed.
"For the Wales game, we are going to be doing a drinks offer so we are doing what we call a 'Come on England' shot. So it is two spirits that are white and red with a St. George's Cross on top.
"Beer-wise we're getting some California pale ale in on tap for the World Cup as well."
"During the week we open at three, last orders at midnight. But if England make it all the way to the final, I'm sure we might move last orders back a bit to celebrate it!
"We renovated our function room last year, lots of our regulars helped us out improving it.
"It has a dance floor, feather picture wall which always looks good on social media, plus there will be four TVs in there with the World Cup on, as well as all the ones in the main bar and beer garden outside.
"We have four snooker tables and five pool tables, at £6 per hour.
"Silktown Snooker Club is for everyone, but we do have a membership which gives you ten per cent of all drinks, food and merchandise. And for every pound you spend, a couple of pence goes onto a points scheme which you can use on pool table time.
"I have been coming here for 12 years coming here helping out for five years. I love it here, we are a real community."
They have also just bought some new gaming and jukebox machines in time for the World Cup.
The small business even has a 1966 World Cup winning photograph as you enter, displayed all year round.
