A Macclesfield gym is aiming to raise £1000 for a national charity.
PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road have currently raised £430 for the British Heart Foundation.
Manager Tom Coates explained how they did it.
"As well as having classes where we encourage people to bring cash, I also did a six-hour treadmill walk to raise awareness", he said.
"That was the equivalent of doing Snowdon twice.
"All PureGyms are raising money for the British Heart Foundation across the UK, and in the north west we've raised the fifth-most so far thanks to the generosity of Macclesfield.
"We've also done other things to raise money like having competitions and having donation points around the gym."
"We aim to raise a grand by the end of the year."
Danny Giuliano-Jackson is the Assistant General Manager at PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road.
"Thank you so much to our amazing members for their donations," he said.
Macclesfield's newest gym opened up last May.
The gym also has a defibrillator, so the cardiac-collaboration was a no-brainer.
PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
