Macclesfield's newest gym has opened their doors.
PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road, have opened opposite McDonalds and next to Wickes, at the Silk Retail Park off Hulley Road.
The gym is kitted out with brand new equipment, which is spread across two floors and four rooms.
Highlights include Olympic-standard weights, to a spin room which can fit in 27.
The national gym brand are targeting 4000 members for their new Macclesfield site.
Danny Giuliano-Jackson is the Assistant General Manager at PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road.
"We're open 24 hours, we offer fitness at an affordable rate. There's no contract at all, so nobody is obliging themselves when they don't know where they are going to be in a few months financially.
"Everybody is welcome in a PureGym, we make it accessible to everyone, and have disabled lifts."
"If you sign up on our £12.99 per month offer, you get that offer for a whole twelve months [a year].
"After those 12 months, the price will go up to £20.99."
PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road is the 305th PureGym to open nationwide.
If you haven't been to a gym in a while, pieces of kit which are trending in the industry are at the gym such as the Nordic curl and hip thrust station, which is a declaration of intent for the site in terms of keeping things state-of-the-art.
Danny has experience with Macclesfield gyms.
He worked at Everlast Gyms in the Silkworks on Pickford Street for four years.
When asked about the new gym's proximity to the new The Gym opening later this year at the Barracks Mill Retail Park, Danny had this to say.
"I'm confident PureGym will be able to offer the best value for money and the best facilities," he added.
"We're in an excellent location with free parking on-site, so I think we stand out amongst the crowd."
"We offer a lot of free classes [for members], such as body toning, body pump and spin classes."
The new gym boasts over 220 pieces of kit, and has brought 11 new jobs to Macclesfield.
The gym is air conditioned, and dumbbells go up to 50kg.
Amenities wise, the gym comes with cleaning stations which were introduced in many Macclesfield gyms during COVID, which keeps up a high standard of hygiene for people to wipe down their kit after use.
There are large, bespoke changing rooms, as well as lockers on both floors.
The gym has a defibrillator, and there are ways to contact staff in an emergency, even during unstaffed hours.
PureGym Macclesfield Silk Road is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
