After the success of Macclesfield Comedy Festival in August (which will return in 2022), stand-up comedy has found a new monthly home at Macclesfield Rugby Club!

Launching this Friday (8th October) StandUp Macclesfield presents TV comedians, circuit pros and the hottest rising stars are all on offer at this guaranteed night of big laughs.

The event at the Priory Lane sports club start be at 8pm, and the last act on the bill will finish at 10:30pm.

The opening show features musical headliner Steve Shanyaski, as seen on the Royal Variety Performance, Comedy Central and ITV's Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford. He has performed throughout the world but has received high praise close to home with Stockport Express commenting that he is "Like a mixture between Eddie Izzard and Peter Kay… with a guitar".

Support act Josh Pugh has recently been crowned English Comedian of the Year.

The talented comedian also writes for Dave Channel and ITV and is described as "Ceaselessly impressive" by Joe.co.uk.

Giving newer talent a chance to shine introduces Natalie Husdan is a rising star on the local circuit with her mix of all too true stories and social commentary as seen through the eyes of a Cheshire mum.

Completing the bill is 6 foot 7 inch tall MC Rob Mulholland.

With the potential that the rugby club will want to sign him up for the second row, Rob is a multi-award-winning comedian.

He writes for Mock The Week and also starred in BBCs Comedian Rap Battles.
