2024 is almost upon us, and it is going to be a big year for all of us.

But some Macclesfield brands and establishments will have even more to celebrate, as it is a major anniversary for them.

So join us on this list where we recall the major milestones and birthdays for five Macclesfield institutions.

Do you remember when any of these opened?

It is on a road we drive past every day, but do you know the history behind it?

Trinity House Practice is a specialist physiotherapy site, best known for John Honey Physiotherapy.

The Cumberland Street outfit was founded in 1974, meaning they will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2024.

Cheshire Demolition

A south Macclesfield demolition and reclamation firm are turning 40 this year.

Cheshire Demolition, of 72 Moss Lane, were founded in 1984.

They've gave back to the community over the years by sponsoring Tytherington Juniors and Macclesfield FC.

And now with a major anniversary, it is time for the community to celebrate them in return.

They have clients all over Cheshire and Manchester, and can be found more about on this link.

Macclesfield Library

Macclesfield Library may have saw a sad end to 2023 with the reduction of opening hours. But the first months of 2024 will see cause for celebration.

The Library on the corner of Jordangate and Brunswick Street was opened in spring 1994 by the Duchess of Gloucester.

Whilst we don't think a Royal will come to mark the 30th anniversary, expect plenty of events, likely free, to mark this occasion.

The youngest anniversary on the list, Macclesfield's Fruits of the Forage is turning ten in 2024.

The sustainable Great King Street outfit makes preserves, cordials and liqueurs with traditional heritage fruits and wild plants.

It is not yet known how they will celebrate their first decade. Browse their products HERE.

The oldest anniversary on the list Macclesfield Rugby Club are the longest-running still active sports club in Macclesfield.

2024/2025 will be their 150th Anniversary Season. They are accepting ideas in how to celebrate.

Macclesfield RUFC said: "We want to celebrate this anniversary season with a whole programme of events and occasions as well as raise some money for the club in the process.

"The ideas can be for events, whether dinners, dances, black-tie balls, commemorative matches or anything you feel should be included."

Please email the people on this link to suggest how they should mark this incredible milestone.

And that was it! Did we miss any? Why not get in touch...
