Macclesfield Job of the Week: Media Technician - Music Technology at The Fallibroome Academy

Macclesfield school The Fallibroome Academy are hiring in their performing arts department.
Applications for a Media Technician - Music Technology role open now, and will close later this month.
It promises £17,746-£18,508 (Actual – pay award pending) for 37 hours a week.
You'll be working across 41 weeks in a year, term-time plus three weeks.
You'll be setting up sound for lessons, and extra-curricular projects.
This will be for all subjects, including Falibroome's performing arts department, a specialism of the Macclesfield school.
"We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified individual to join our Performing Arts department," said The Fallibroome Academy.
"Working under the direction of our Senior Media Production Technician, the successful applicant will have knowledge of music technology and live sound, together with knowledge of, or the desire to acquire knowledge and experience in the theatre and media production.
"The role will require the successful applicant to work within the Performing Arts and whole school setting, requiring them to work across some of our multi-media platforms – presentations, plasma screens and website, etc.
"This post also carries specific responsibility for the maintenance and development of our extensive music technology resources.
"You would be joining a team comprising the Assistant Principal responsible for the direction of Performing Arts, Heads of Drama, Dance, Music and Media Studies, further full time and part-time teaching staff, two arts administrators and a team of two technicians.
"The team thrives on excellent communication, commitment, drive and good humour and, perhaps most importantly, a passion for the arts! The Performing Arts Departments produce not only consistently outstanding examination results but public performances of an extremely high standard, involving a considerable number of students."
150 people work at the Upton Priory educational institution, which has over 1500 students.
The ideal candidate will have some expertise in all of the following:
- Studio recording – capturing, editing, mixing and mastering
- Operation of sound systems in a variety of situations including live forums
- Experience with computer based music software e.g. Cubase, Pro Tools, Sibelius etc
They will also be keen to learn:
- Support for the use of audio visual equipment in classrooms
- Photo and video capture, editing and graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Lighting for concerts/performances
