A fantastic opportunity has cropped up at the Lyme Green Business and Retail Park.

Before we go into further detail, did you know there's hundreds of jobs for everyone on the Macclesfield Nub News Jobs section?

You can also list your job there to be promoted to our thousands of readers, but please note, there is a charge for this.

Today's featured Job of the Week is a Kickstart Store Colleague role at Pets at Home Macclesfield.

The part-time position will help a young Maxonian get started with a career.

The fixed term vacancy offers 25 hours per week, of six months industry training.

As well as being available for half a year, to be eligible for the Kickstart programme you will also need to be; aged 18-24 yrs, unemployed and receiving Universal Credit, and referred by your Jobcentre Work Coach (of Churchill Way).

You'll be right in the thick of it, working with customers and animals alike.

The Macclesfield site on Brunel Road has services which span an adoption centre, reptiles, rodents, rabbits, medicines and school visits. The applicant will train in all of these, as well as honing essential retail skills.

Pets at Home said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to come and work for a company voted in the top 10 Great Places to Work (Best Large Workplaces) awards 2018. We are the UK's number one pet retailer.

"During your 6-month Kickstart placement you'll get best in class employability support with our partners The Prince's Trust and your own in-store fully trained mentor who will be there to help and support you as you get hands-on with the role.

"With us you can have the opportunity to develop into a range of specialisms such as the Groom Room, Vets4Pets and even our Support Offices.

"In Macclesfield, you will be at the heart of our store and will ensure our customers have a great experience that sets us apart and drives customer loyalty for our great brands.

"Our business is fast-paced, innovative and fun; and it's our people that make the difference.

"You'll also get the opportunity to attend a variety of different workshops that will help you grow your career."

It pays the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant), and is funded by the government.
