A youngster from Macclesfield will cycle for cystic fibrosis awareness, and to raise money for charity.
Connor Murray (8) aims to pedal 100 miles in seven days, with the support of his family and friends.
His dad Lee (43) suffers from cystic fibrosis, but will accompany him on the challenge.
The driven lad will split money raised between cystic fibrosis units at Manchester Children's Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital.
The Prestbury Church of England Primary School pupil has already raised £885, and wants to raise £1000.
He'll get on his bike for a week, with his family's favourite route being the Middlewood Way from Macclesfield to Marple.
Proud mum and veterinarian Claire Murray spoke to Macclesfield Nub News about her son's selfless fundraising.
"Connor loves biking, he's bike mad", she said.
"Connor adores his dad and loves cycling together. Thankfully Lee is doing pretty well on his medication so he can do bits of the challenge with us as well.
We're looking forward to doing the Tissington Trail. We'll also do the Manifold Way as part of the 100 mile challenge.
"We're ridiculously proud of Connor, he's putting himself out there. He is determined to do it. A lot of other mum's and dad's have said their kids would moan after half-an-hour on the bike, but Connor would just power on regardless.
"He joked yesterday when we were cycling on the Macclesfield Canal that all the wild garlic represented all the people that were cheering him on.
"It is nice that he wants to help others as well, including those his age that are affected by it as well."
Cystic fibrosis affects breathing, as well as other organs such as the digestive system.
Only 10,000 people in the UK have cystic fibrosis, but 1 in 25 people are carriers of the condition including young Connor.
The family-of-three - which were separated for 11 weeks to protect immune-comprimised Lee during the pandemic - will commence the challenge in the May half-term.
"We just want to say a massive thank you to everybody that has supported us however big or small, we know that times are really difficult at the moment", added Claire.
"Just even thinking about us, sharing the post and supporting us is really appreciated.
"Hopefully we can make a really good sum of money to make a difference to a cause that is worth giving to, and close to our hearts."
According to NHS England, if one parent has cystic fibrosis and the other is a carrier, there's is a one in two chance their child will be a carrier - which Connor is - and a one in two chance their child will have cystic fibrosis.
Connor's Headteacher David Capener has donated £20, and had this to say about Connor's challenge.
"All the best Connor, " he said.
"When you feel tired, just think of all the people supporting you and encouraging you. You will do it.

Last year, Connor did a similar challenge for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a national cause for which he raised almost £3000 for.
