Police want to speak to Thomas Curley for an investigation after a woman was threatened and seriously assaulted.

Police officers want to locate a man with links to our town in connection to the assault of a young woman.

While the incident is believed to have taken place in Blackpool in Lancashire, Thomas Curley has connections to Macclesfield and could well he residing here following the incident.

The victim, 18, was strangled, suffocated, tied up, burned and beaten, during the ordeal at an address in Blackpool on November 11.

Curley, 31, who is also known as Thomas Preece, was living at an address on Talbot Road in Blackpool. However, he is known for his links to Macclesfield. 

Lancashire Police are appealing for anyone who has seen Curley or knows where he might be to get in contact with them, so that officers can talk to him about the incident.
