A young entrepreneur and athlete has decided to expand his booming martial arts business.

Bollington resident George Stephens currently teaches Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the Adelphi Mill with his new company Stealth BJJ Macclesfield.

This was in a free studio room inside the gym AW Muscle & Fitness.

However, he is now targeting a studio space of his own in Macclesfield.

"My jiu-jitsu gym was opened in August 2022 and I never imagined that it would grow so well, to the point that I need a bigger space as quickly as this," said George.

"Since opening I haven't taken a penny out of the business, saving everything I can, knowing that the dream was to expand, but I didn't think it would be this quick.

"Obviously, this expansion comes with a hefty cost, and whilst I have managed to save most of the start-up costs, I am still about £3000 short.

"If anyone is willing to help me fulfill my dream of running a successful BJJ gym, it would be very greatly appreciated."

April sees George moving into the premises, and redecorating it with his positive branding.

So he has decided to launch a GoFundMe to help cover the initial high start-up costs to get the next level of his business going, which could see him teach the martial art to more Maxonians than ever before.

"Stealth BJJ Macclesfield is a place for you to come and learn jujitsu and make new friends," added George.

"Jiu-jitsu is really good for strength, posture and to help lose weight."

A national jiu-jitsu champion in his own right, you can read our previous article with George on this link.
