Macclesfield music bar to host Queen-themed party for Platinum Jubilee
A unique business in the heart of Macclesfield will celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with the music of the band Queen.
Proper Sound, which opened on 8 Chestergate last October, will play the music of the Freddie Mercury-fronted band on the same day the country marks 70 years on the throne for Queen Elizabeth II.
James King came up with the idea for the unique way to honour the UK's longest-serving Royal, which will take place inside his pop culture shop for all things audio, art and apparel.
"We will be celebrating the Queen's Jubilee and the last 70 years of incredible music that blighty has produced," he said.
"Resident DJ Daz Glaser will be spinning the wheels of steel playing 8 Decades of British classics plus a Queen song every hour!
"We will also be serving Royal finger food, Coronation Vol-au-vent's & Jubilee themed cocktails that Maam would highly approve of including her favourite tipple Dubonnet.
"The bunting will be flowing alongside a few others surprises."
The party will take place from 2pm-8pm on Friday June 3, which is a Bank Holiday.
Proper Sound already have 1200 followers on Facebook.
