Bollington has their own vape shop, situated just across the road from the new Tesco.

Bollington Vapes, founded by father-of-two Kieran Ledgar, is located inside a former hairdressers on Grimshaw Lane.

The roofer by trade, who also sells related products on eBay, saw a gap in the market to bring a dedicated vape shop to Bollington.

"There's lots of vape shops in Macc, when I'm from. But I've got a lot family up in Bollington," he said.

"When I come up here, I realised there wasn't one here. It felt perfect."

There's 30 e-liquids in stock, a selection of cartridges and devices available to purchase. They also sell disposable vapes, a recent addition to the vape market, which has become a best seller in the new store.

Before Kieran's shop opened, the alternative was having e-liquids and e-cigarettes being sold in supermarkets, which offer a less personable service than Kieran's store.

Once the shop is up and running, Kieran plans to return to his job as a roofer for his Macclesfield business KAL Construction, but will be leaving the new vape venture in the trusty hands of a family member.

Kieran added: "My youngest son has just gone into nursery for half-days, when he gets into full days, I want to leave the shop, go back to roofing and my partner can come straight back into work for this new shop."

The shop is open 10-6 Monday to Saturday. He may open earlier, if there is the demand.

Office for National Statistics numbers revealed in 2020, 6.4% of the population vaped. This is equivalent to 3.3m people in the country.
