Macclesfield music festival digs at Sue Gray delays ahead of line-up reveal
A Macclesfield festival has took the mickey out of the delayed Sue Gray report, in a viral tweet to promote the festival.
This week, the people of Macclesfield will find out the details of the alleged coronavirus parties at 10 Downing Street, as well as the line-up for the Jodrell Bank music festival.
So in a bid to gather hype for the musicians and scientists set to speak in Macclesfield, Bluedot Festival organisers have tweeted a graphic to humorously suggest that the Metropolitan Police have stopped the line-up from being released.
It follows weekend revelations of the Met Police requesting for the Sue Gray report to 'minimise' references to parties at Number 10.
In a tweet liked by hundreds, @bluedotfestival said:
"Excited to share the bluedot 2022 line-up, which has now been fully approved by the Met Police...
"Just kidding, see you Tuesday at 6 for the real deal."
The image featured black tape over where the performers names would be.
It appears that both long-awaited reveals will be made public soon though,.
Firstly, Sue Gray's report on Boris Johnson's lockdown parties is due to be revealed this afternoon.
And secondly, Bluedot Festival shall share their full line-up tomorrow evening.
Only one act has been confirmed to play Bluedot 2022 so far, which will be their first festival in three years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
