There's a new bakery in Macclesfield to satisfy your sweet tooth.

And the delicious new business are just a short stroll from the centre of town.

Betsy's is a new lunchspot and bakery by Macclesfield resident Angela Smith, who also runs the tea rooms at the garden centre in Henbury.

They are located on 85 Chester Road, the corner plot leading onto Adlington Street where Dinah's used to be.

Menu items include jacket potato, omelettes, and paninis.

Angela has hired four staff, including her daughter Courtney Marsh who met with Macclesfield Nub News to tell us all about the new business.

The business is named after a family dog, to reflect the family-oriented nature of the business.

"Betsy's is a gorgeous new deli open for all your breakfast needs and tasty lunch deals. There's also a little for your sweet tooth," said Courtney.

"We offer all day breakfast, which is something that most places in Macclesfield do not offer.

"Our create your own salad or pasta pots are big sellers. We also sell Staffordshire oatcakes, which are not that common in Macclesfield.

"We bake cakes on-site and get our bread from a Macclesfield baker. We can also provide gluten free options at request.

"We can also provide lunch to order for workplaces, just give us a call or message on Facebook."

"We will also be having daily specials like soup, lasagne, and chilli con carne."

They're open from 9am to 4pm during the week, and can be called on 07761424298.

The business can do outdoor and event catering as well, ready for the summer.

They are the second new bakery to open in Macclesfield in recent months, alongside Early Bird Bakery of Buxton Road. Three, if you count the reopening of Flour Water Salt.
