A good cause in Macclesfield has released a new book.
Samaritans, which has operated in Macclesfield since 1963, has a new poetry book which you can now buy online.
The local Samaritans branch has published '100 Poems of Hope', a vast anthology, filled with a variety of poems from the local community, Samaritan volunteers and a few famous poets.
The poems cover a range of themes including hope, belief and a brighter future.
All proceeds we make will be donated back to Samaritans.
"The blurb of the book reads: "Macclesfield Samaritans branch has collated 100 Poems of Hope to inspire, comfort and raise funds for the charity by producing this anthology.
"This collection comprises poems from talented amateurs, along with submissions from more famous poets, Harry Baker and Henry Normal.
" We have also included poems from a few of the greats, Emily Dickinson, John Keats and Samuel Taylor Coleridge amongst others.
"We hope that you enjoy the book and thank you for supporting The Samaritans and providing hope to the millions of people that call us every year."
Samaritans provides emotional support to those in distress, struggling to cope with life, or contemplating suicide. Macclesfield's branch was founded ten years after the formation of the national charity.
The headquarters for the green-clad charity is based in Epsom, Surrey.
