Macclesfield: The trains that are still running during the rail strike

The first of three national railway strikes begin today.
Millions are disrupted, including those travelling from, to and through Macclesfield Railway Station.
Here's how Macclesfield is affected by the train strikes.
Commuters have no trains to Manchester Piccadilly on Tuesday or Thursday.
The third and final day of the strike does not see a cancellation of all Manchester bound trains however, so you'll still be able to get to the city at the weekend. However, the Macclesfield to Manchester Saturday trains are already selling out.
The first Manchester train on Wednesday is the 8:19am, which is guaranteed to be a busy train, especially given the temporary cancellation of the 8:02am train earlier this year.
But it is bad news if you are travelling to the office in Manchester by train on Wednesday, as this is the only Manchester train departing before 9am.
In fact, after the 8:19am on Wednesday, the next train departing to Manchester from Macclesfield is 1 hour and 42 minutes later, setting off at 10:01am.
This is the same case for Friday, where the first train of the day is the 8:19am, followed by the 10:01am.
On both Wednesday on Friday, the Manchester trains will resume to their regular three services an hour from 10:00am, but this will be too late for many of the workers who get on the Macclesfield to Manchester train.
Trains to London via Avanti West Coast are also affected, with no trains from Macclesfield to the capital on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.
For Macclesfield London Euston-bound trains on Wednesday, Friday and indeed Sunday, service remains consistent, but first class has already sold out on most trains.
There are no Northern Trains from Macclesfield to Poynton on Tuesday or Thursday, but there will be on the third day of the strike. So don't cancel your weekend plans if you're off there.
The Northern Trains service from Macclesfield to Congleton will not run at all on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.
The CrossCountry route is also affected. There are no direct trains running from Macclesfield to Bournemouth on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
The not-running Bournemouth train includes stops such as Stoke, Stafford, Coventry, Wolverhampton, two in Birmingham, Banbury and Oxford.
However, there is one direct train of this route on Friday at 09:49, 11:49, 13:49, 14:49, 16:49 and 18:49.
On the final day of the strike on Saturday June 25, the Macclesfield to Bournemouth train, which also stops at places such as Reading, Winchester and Southampton, is running at 07:49 and 18:49 only.
The Saturday non-direct trains to the south coast with up to three changes however, have already sold out.
There are much more direct routes from Macclesfield to Bournemouth on Sunday, but still some disruption once you get out of our town, before resuming as normal on Monday.
