Macclesfield town centre will be lit up this January when a free lantern parade takes to the streets.
Taking place on Saturday 24 January, the parade is open to all and will start assembling at the Silk Museum from 4.30pm.
It will set off at 5pm, heading up Mill Street and ultimately up to Market Place where there will be food, drink, performances and more until 7.30pm.
If you'd like to take part but don't have a lantern, there will be a range of workshops taking place across Macclesfield where you can put one together.

The Silk Museum, for one, will be running workshops on Saturday 24th - these will be free but spaces are limited. Reserve your spot here.
Macclesfield Community Artspace in the Grosvenor Centre will also be running a drop-in session from 2–4pm on the day in the unit opposite Timpsons. The workshop is free and all kit required to make a milk bottle Elmer lantern will be provided.
ArtSpace will also be running an evening session at their Gunco Lane HQ on Tuesday 20th January, from 6-8pm. Book here.
The parade promises to be a "feel good afternoon and evening right in the centre of town", combining Macclesfield Town Council's Lantern Parade and Northern Light.
And keep your eye out for the giant lobster...
