Macclesfield: Woman can't remember how she was injured at Victoria Park - can you help?

Were you at Victoria Park this weekend? You may be able to help with a police incident in Macclesfield.

Police officers from Macclesfield appeal for information after a woman was found injured at Victoria Park on Norton Street.

The woman was found by a taxi driver in the Glegg Street area at around 1am on Saturday June 18.

She was then taken to Macclesfield Hospital on Victoria Road.

It was there where it was found that she had sustained an injury to her wrist.

The 47-year-old woman has no recollection of how she has sustained the injury, all she can remember is arriving at the park at 11pm on Friday 17 June with a friend.

Two hours later, she was found, with the aforementioned memory loss.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Detective Constable Thomas Towe said: "This is a frightening ordeal for anyone to experience and we are working hard to find out exactly what happened.

"Since the incident occurred, we have been conducting a number of enquiries in and around the area in a bid to understand what took place during the hours that these injuries are said to be obtained.

"As part of these enquiries, we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident.

"If you may have seen something that didn't look right, please get in touch.

"The same goes to anyone who has any information as to exactly what took place."
