Macclesfield's newest independent coffee spot is looking to connect with the community.

Pronto Caffé has enjoyed a steady start to life since opening its doors at Lusso Food Court earlier this year.

Behind the counter you will find Marilena Oakes, who runs the business alongside her mother.

The 33-year-old said: "So far, it's been picking up slowly, but we need more support from community.

"The people I've met so far have been the loveliest and kindest people. I love to learn their stories and connect with every one of them. We absolutely cherish everyone that stops by!

"We are super excited to grow this project with our local community."

Mother-of-two Marilena grew up in Romania, moving to England in her teens.

A former barista, it was her love of coffee that inspired her to launch her own business.

"We've put out heart and soul into it and we have learnt how to create the perfect coffee for our customers," she said.

On the menu you will find a variety of coffees, teas, matchas, hot chocolates and protein shakes.

They also offer paninis, pastries, cakes, porridge and other sweet snacks.

On Tuesday, May 12, Pronto Caffé's indoor seating are opened up, complete with a children's play area to keep the little ones busy.

Marilena added: "As a mum of two little ones, I know how every minute of a break counts a lot.

"I am super excited for this adventure, to meet the people from Macclesfield and be able to create a little corner for the kids to play in while the adults can actually have a little break and enjoy a coffee."
