Poetry Pandemonium

The next Poetry Pandemonium at Mash Guru will see the return of Salford's celebrated spoken word artist, Culain Wood.

Meanwhile, Zena Barrie will be bringing her innovative fusion of poetry and story telling.

There will also be more ramblings from regular host, Mark the Poet, and open-mic opportunities for anyone who wants to share their thoughts and their words.

Friday (15/05)

Burlesque Drawing Social

Move Studios welcomes Susannah Pal for Now, Draw! - a special drawing social event featuring burlesque performer Rosetta Romeo.

Fresh from her Miss Plastic 2026 title, Miss Rosetta is a standout on Manchester's queer cabaret scene.

She'll open the evening with a burlesque performance, followed by a series of poses to draw from.

All materials will be provided and no experience is needed.

Bollington Festival

Tracing its roots to the 1960s, Bollington Festival is believed to be the biggest entirely volunteer-run festival in the country.

Starting on Friday, this ten-day event serves as a celebration of art, music, science, dance and creativity.

Many of the events are free, including a concert by the ABBA FEVER tribute band.

Saturday (16/05)

Cosmic Aerial Fitness' Summer Showcase

Cosmic Aerial Fitness are gearing up for their bi-annual showcase.

Students and instructors will be giving the audience a night at the movies with aerial hoop and pole fitness routines.

Mayor of Macclesfield's Charity Ball

The Mayor of Macclesfield's Charity Ball takes place this weekend.

Current mayor, councillor Emma Gilman, has chosen to support Cardiac Risk in the Young and Friends of Park Lane School, two charities close to her heart.

Taking place at the Tytherington Club, tickets cost £50 per person and include a welcome drink, three course meal with wine and a disco to finish the night.

Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots' run at Bollington Civil Hall comes to an end on Saturday, May 16.

Bollington Musical Theatre Group will be closing out their production with a bang, with two performances, including a 2pm matinee.
