A new business opens in Macclesfield on Thursday.

Mia's Treacle Bites will open on Macclesfield's Mill Street from 9am on Thursday April 20.

An affordable breakfast and lunchspot by day, by night it will be a trendy family-led restaurant serving artisanal European dishes with a homemade feel.

They will be open seven days a week from 9am to 10pm, bringing a bit of life to the evening scene of Mill Street, left neglected since the closure of Capri and Urban Vixen

Mia's Treacle Bites is located where The Cheshire Gap used to be, and is a family business led by mother-and-son duo Vesna Rankov and Svet Rankov.

"We're delighted to open in Macclesfield on Thursday," said Svet.

"We will have a traditional English menu in the morning. With English breakfasts, paninis, sandwiches, wraps and jacket potatoes.

"Burgers will be available all day. From Angus Aberdeen beef burgers to patties mixed with pork and beef, which we believe are quite special.

"We will be available for takeaway and delivery in the afternoon. And in the near future, we hope to gain an alcohol licence.

"Homemade soups, salads and homemade desserts round out the day menu.

"In the PM only, there are high-skilled meat-based main courses like beef stroganoff, schnitzels, and cordon bleu.

"Beer battered chicken strips and a seven-cheese pot with hot crispbread to dip are other signature dishes on the menu."

The new venture will seat 28 people.

Mia's Treacle Bites also have two sofas which you can sit and eat on if you are in a rush, or want to watch the world go by on Mill Street.

Five people will work at Mia's Treacle Bites, and all are family members, meaning it is an independent family business through and through.

"We want to serve great quality food at an affordable price," Svet added.

"Thank you to the people of Macclesfield for their support.

"We have lived in Macclesfield for seven years, and we love making great food and can't wait to welcome you here."

There's a small but carefully curated Neapolitan pizza and pastas menu as well, offering Italian vibes in their nighttime menu.

There will also be a specials board throughout the cause of this year, with Macclesfield's first Serbian cuisine amongst the offerings.

This is as the family which runs the business of are of Serbian descent.

Mia's Treacle Bites is located at 87 Mill Street, Macclesfield SK11 6NN.
