Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash on main road through Adlington

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash in Adlington.
Emergency services were called to the A523 London Road on Good Friday, April 3, following reports of a crash involving a car and a motorbike.
The rider of the bike, a 40-year-old man, was left with 'serious' injuries and had to be taken to hospital.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 12.18pm on Friday, April 3, police were called to reports of a collision on London Road, Adlington.
"The collision involved a car and a motorbike.
"The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital."
An emergency road closure was put in place on London Road, stretching from the Bonis Hall lights to the junction with Brookledge Lane, by the Toby Carvery.
A social media post shared by Cheshire East Council Highways read: "Please avoid the area, whilst we assist the police with ongoing investigations."
The road reopened shortly before 4pm.
