MP calls for 'clarity' after aerostructures business sold for £200 million

Macclesfield's MP has called for 'clarity' following the sale of an aerostructures business.
Senior Plc has reached an agreement to sell its Aerostructures division to Sullivan Street Partners, a private equity investor, for £200 million.
It is not yet clear how this will impact Senior Aerospace BWT in Adlington, prompting MP Tim Roca to write to the firm to ask what this sale means for the site.
He said: "I'm aware of the recent announcement that Senior Aerospace is selling part of its aerostructures business for £200 million, with the buyer being equity firm Sullivan Street Partners.
"Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of visiting Senior Aerospace's Adlington site and meeting some of the incredibly skilled employees working there.
"There's some fantastic work happening at the site, and I know how important this facility is to our local economy.
"I have today written to the company to ask what this decision means locally and to seek clarity on any potential implications.
"I'll stay in close contact with the company to ensure I'm fully informed and able to represent our community's interests."
