With just a few days to go until the 2023 Macclesfield Charity Beer Festival, the final music line-up has been revealed, featuring a number of local performers, including Vox Americana, Macc Woodfleet, and Queen Cult.

The event which takes place on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 May, still has tickets available on this link, will have a large line-up of local musicians performing.

The festival is also announcing a collaboration with Chestergate-based Suburban Green, introducing the festival's first Macc Beer Fest x Suburban Green Gin Bar.

The collaboration will see the Chestergate bar's Suburban Green's own-brand of Gin on offer throughout the weekend, along with a range of other locally-produced gins, and fruit-infused options, plus wine and prosecco.

One of Suburban Green's expert mixologists will be helping to create perfectly paired gin-based drinks all weekend, ensuring the festival's gin bar attendees enjoy the perfect pour.

There will be over 150 beers, ciders and perries on offer throughout the weekend, including a number of locally produced beers and ciders, organised by the festival's CAMRA beer experts. During the weekend, the huge 40 meter-long bar will be staffed by over 150 volunteers.

This year, the festival will offer an expanded food offering, including a BBQ, wood-fired pizzas, Thai Street Food, and vegan kebabs. Tickets, which include a commemorative glass, cost £12.50 each and are available from MacclesfieldBeerFestival.org.

The Festival's Friday and Saturday evening sessions will open from 7pm until midnight. The Saturday family-friendly day time session, which is free to attend, opens from midday until 6pm, and includes a range of activities to keep the full family entertained, including vintage games, market stalls and face painting.

The Macclesfield Beer Festival, which is this year raising funds for the Rossendale Trust, is one of the region's longest-running charity events, having raised over £300,000 in its 26-year history. In addition to returning sponsors solicitors SAS Daniels and Spiral Print, this year the festival has welcomed a new main sponsor - The Cheshire Pub Co, whose local pub brands include The Churchill Tree in Alderley Park, the Ship in Styal, The Frozen Mop in Mobberley, and the Crown and Conspirator in Bramhall.

This year's event is also being supported by Suburban Green, which opened in Macclesfield last year.

James Hogben, commenting on behalf of the Macclesfield Beer Festival Committee and Macclesfield Round Table, said: "With the help of our fantastic volunteers and sponsors, we've got a great event planned for 2023, including a fantastic line-up of music, an extended food offering, and a huge selection of drinks, as well as family entertainment.

"We look forward to welcoming you to Macc Beer Fest and, with your support, raising funds for the amazing Rossendale Trust."
