A new bar is set to open in Macclesfield.

Signs for Diversion Bar & Kitchen have gone up at the unit previously home to Savages Mussels on Church Street.

It has been described as a 'punk/post-punk bar' drawing on inspiration from Macclesfield's music history with bands such as Joy Division and the Macc Lads.

On the food side of things, the venue will focus on chicken wings, with various flavours developed in house.

There will also be a 'hot wing challenge' as well as loaded fries.

Meanwhile, you will find big name brands on draught alongside a cocktail menu and a selection of wines.

An opening date has not yet been confirmed.
