One of Macclesfield's biggest employers wants to create a new temporary staff car park.

Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca seek to create a space which would accommodate more parking spaces.

The 0.20 hectare site was last used as the Milford Court research and development building, but was knocked down in 2017.

The site is currently unused but 83 parking spaces could be made if plans are approved by Cheshire East Council.

A local agent - from Sutton - has been employed to deliver the project.

They employ 4700 people at their Macclesfield site.

Temporary lighting that claims to be eco-friendly is hoped to illuminate the carpark.

The public can submit comments until July 3.

A decision is targeted for July 30.
