Pair charged in connection with a burglary in Macclesfield

At around 2.35am on Thursday 6 June police were called to reports of a burglary at a Tesco petrol station on Hibel Road, Macclesfield.

A 43-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Oliver Postlewhite, of Kennedy Avenue, Macclesfield, and Stacey Williams, of no fixed abode in the Macclesfield area, have since been charged with burglary.

The pair have been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court today, Friday 7 June.
