A 'new kind of gym' is coming to Bollington.

Fitness in Mind (FIM) opens its second studio, at Clarence Mill, on Saturday, November 29.

Founded by Geo Berry seven years ago, FIM began as a small outdoor bootcamp in Disley before opening its first studio in New Mills.

Now boasting more than 150 members, the new Bollington studio marks an exciting next step for the brand.

Geo said: "Seven years ago, I wasn't someone who worked out regularly.

"I didn't feel fit, and I feared being the 'new person' who didn't belong in a gym.

"I started training to help my mental health as much as my physical health — and everything began to change.

"I realised progress isn't about perfection. It's about showing up."

Geo continued: "I created Fitness in Mind because I wanted a space where movement feels enjoyable, where progress is personal, and where fitness is for longevity — not punishment.

"If you've ever felt like 'I'm not a gym person', trust me I've been there.

"And you're welcome here at FIM, because here we truly believe that fitness is for everyone."

The Bollington studio will offer coach-led small group training with a varied timetable of cardio, strength, function and mobility sessions.

Classes are adaptable for all fitness levels and will be delivered by Geo, alongside a team of expert coaches from the local area.

FIM's ethos is centred around community connection both inside and outside the gym, with regular workshops, social walks, community events and member meetups planned throughout the year.

"People are more consistent, confident and accountable when they feel supported and connected," Geo adds.

"Training together matters, especially at a time when many of us spend more hours than ever working online or alone.

"We keep our class sizes to around 16 members, enabling us to provide high quality training in a group setting, while checking individual technique and progression."
