A Macclesfield café and restaurant are serving pizza for the first time.

Nomas Gastrobar, located on Chestergate's east side, have launched a new menu entirely with plant-based ingredients.

The vegan eatery, of 34 Chestergate, now sell sweet and savoury pizzas every day.

Nomas, formally known as Ethos are delighted to announce the arrival of their completely vegan pinsa pizzas, with flavours including Spicy Pepperoni, I Love Truffle, and Carbonara pizzas.

Co-Owner Adonis Norouznia explained how the pizzas came to be: "What the people want, the people get," said Adonis.

"We've had so many requests for great plant-based pizza and there doesn't seem to be many options in Cheshire. We can't wait to see what our customers think.

"The pinsa pizzas are able to be ordered every day from 1pm.

"The difference between pinsa and pizza? The dough is made from a combination of soy, rice and wheat flour which makes pinsa a much healthier alternative to traditional pizza."

You can also order the pizzas on UberEats and Just Eat. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

Options include Basil Pesto which is topped with fresh basil leaves, and Greek-style which has two types of vegan cheese, black olives, red peppers and fresh tomatoes. The former costs £13.50 and the latter £13.90.

There is even a sweet dessert pizza option, being the Nut-ela pizza with banana, chocolate and a hazelnut praline.

The pinsa pizzas are not gluten free. But those with a wheat intolerance are not excluded from the pizza party.

Coeliacs will be able to enjoy separate pizza made just for coeliacs. The shape will just look different to the rest of the menu, but still be just as delicious!

Owners Fey and Adonis Norouznia moved from their hometown in Greece to Macclesfield in 2018 and opened their vegan business shortly after.

They wanted to create an inclusive space where customers felt confident that their food was completely plant-based with nourishing and naughty options. Since then they have become a plant-based destination and a cemented part of the Macclesfield community.

The establishment, which renamed itself earlier this year, already serve vegan pasta and have a Mediterranean-inspired vegan menu. So the new pinsa pizzas fit right in with the place's vibe and theming.

And the pinsa pizzas are not the only new improvement to the menu.

They have extended their breakfast menu from 9am to 1pm with more options.

New breakfast dishes include utopia, a cold oat yoghurt dish and a vegan salmon bagel.

A Greek omelette has also been added to the menu to reference Adonis' Greek heritage.

And it will be Pancake Day all-year round with their new pancakes offerings. The highlight being the 'Sinful' pancake, featuring crunchy 'bacon', mozzarella, vegan chicken, cheddar sauce and sausage.
