Macclesfield's only cinema has streamlined their online booking system.

Cinemac, of Roe Street, took advantage of a dry film release period in January to spruce up their website.

It is the most popular way movie-goers book tickets.

Cinemac Director Jordan Wilson explained what is new.

"The new website is designed to separate our Llve events and tribute nights from our usual cinema operations," he said.

"It means that all our events are in one place. It also allows us to advertise events that people have booked at our venue, for example, we've a few band bookings over the year so we will be able to advertise the events and give links and information about tickets and the night.

"It's a one stop shop for all the live entertainment at our venue.

"The new website is incredibly user friendly, it's very simple to see and choose the event you want and to book tickets. It's also incredibly secure, we also manage the website ourselves meaning that we can easily access customers tickets and exchange or refund them without having to go through a third party.

The Arighi_Bianchi sofas are back to their most-popular position.

"We didn't use a local tech company to build the website, we have actually created it ourselves in house.

"All photos on the website are from Macclesfield photographer Matthew Goodman, owner of Sound Soldier Productions. A massive thank you to him.

"We've got some amazing gigs coming up through the year with many to be announced in the coming weeks and months. There's loads of comedy, live music and other events to add to the programme.

"Cinema is still our main business, it's important not to loose this. We're trying to have the majority of events on Friday nights so our usual film programme is not disrupted.

Macclesfield band The Virginmarys headlined a sold out concert on 21 December.

"We would like to say a massive thank you to The Virginmarys. Without their vision of what the space could be, many bands who have expressed interest in playing the venue might not have booked it.

"They really have kickstarted our Live events programme! Thank to you everyone for our support."
