A new pizza restaurant is coming to Macclesfield, and is set to open within months.
Independent eatery Wood Fire Smoke is the expansion of a business which was founded in Wilmslow in March 2017.
Their Macclesfield pizzeria is coming to the west of Chestergate in the month of November.
Director Samuel Burrows met with Macclesfield Nub News to tease what pizza-lovers of Macclesfield can expect.
"Wood Fire Smoke is a bring your own alcohol pizza restaurant, he said.
"We offer Neopolitan pizzas and we try and work as closely as to everything based in Naples. All our chefs are from there, and a lot of our floor staff too.
"I love seeing all the Italians talking, the atmosphere we've created effectively brings all walks of life. We used to have a Manchester United manager come for pizzas, builders would come with their beers, teenagers would come for a pizza they could get for under ten pounds. It is a real fun mix of people.
"We opt for a bring your own alcohol model as we like to offer affordability. We have a popular offering in Wilmslow called Monday Margherita for £5, and we will definitely be bringing that to Macclesfield.
"Our other niche is our wood-fired pizzas. There's Deliveroo in Macclesfield, but no wood fired pizza offering, until now.
"Our new Macclesfield restaurant will be 40-45 covers, and we will put an emphasis on takeaway.
"Everything we do is fresh, made by hand, and proved for 48 hours."
The new place to eat will open inside an old office called The Motorworks on Chestergate, SK11 6DU.
Downstairs will host the restaurant, kitchen and adjacent carpark where deliverers can pick up the food.
Upstairs will still remain as offices, but be used by Wood Fire Smoke to manage both their Macclesfield and Wilmslow operations.
"We hire 25 staff in Wilmslow and will be sharing some of these across the new site in Macclesfield, with a few new hires and eight working here", added Sam.
"I love the feel of Macc, it is an old town with amazing hills. Chestergate is a fantastic street, I've been telling another business in Wilmslow to come here.
"We feel we can bring this street up. I love what has happened in Altrincham and the positive impact it has had on the local area, who's to say that can't happen in Macc?
"If people will come to The Picturedrome and it is full, we like to think they will come to other businesses here as well.
"We have vegan offerings, Halal chicken and gluten free options. We will also bring a dedicated kids menu as well.
"We're delighted to come to Macclesfield, and want to thank all our customers who got us here over the past five years for their support."
The announcement video that revealed Wood Fire Smoke is coming to Macclesfield has 500 likes on Instagram. You can also follow the new Macclesfield Italian on Facebook.
Their Macclesfield menu isn't confirmed yet, but you can view their Wilmslow menu here.
Wood Fire Smoke are the second Wilmslow business to expand and see potential in Macclesfield in recent months.
Wood Fire Smoke Macclesfield's next door neighbours, Suburban Green, moved in early September.
