There's one less empty building on our high street as a new restaurant opens in Macclesfield on Friday.

All Things Nice Bakery and Deli - of 10 Chestergate - will serve their first customers from 9am on September 30.

Friends Nick Garner, Tom Norris and Dean Blackwell already have a successful site in Marple, and have chosen Macclesfield as the place to expand their independent business.

"We are a bakery, deli and café bar. Our main emphasis is to do simple things really, really well," said Nick.

"We make everything from scratch on-site, except for our bread which is made at our bakery in Marple.

"We use the best ingredients we can afford, and local produce where possible.

"We like Macclesfield as there is a real mix of people. There is a lot going on on Chestergate."

"It seemed like a natural fit to come here as our next place," added Tom..

"Marple [compared to Macclesfield] is a small village type of community, Macclesfield is like that but more of a town-sized population to dip our toes in.

"It is also not too far from Macclesfield. This means bakery-wise, we can keep the bread as fresh as possible, which our supplier has kindly offered to transport for us."

All well as a changing menu for different times of day, their kitchen caters to specific dietary requirements.

For example, the lunch menu has 38 options from unique options to our town like Karate Chicken and an Onion Bhaji Wrap, to British favourites like Welsh rarebit. Of these, 13 vegetarian or vegan dishes for you to choose.

"The item I love the most that you can eat in on our breakfast menu is the black bean tostada," added Nick.

"One of my favourite items you can buy to take away from our deli is coppa nostrana, it is cured pork neck. Delicious, and a little bit different.

"We've also got Nduja sausage and wild boar salami."

Other menu items include sharing boards from £18 and big bowls from £8.

The deli is located at the front of the store to the right of the entrance, with the restauraunt's seating sat in a familiar position to the last business that was in this premises, but with new furniture.

"We had a little test opening at the last Treacle Market [September 25]. It was great to meet a lot of the local people," added Tom.

"People are really enthusiastic about the opening. It is nice to feel so welcomed really. Thank you to everyone for your support, we look forward to having you."

All Things Nice Macclesfield will be open on Monday to Thursdays from 8am to 4pm.

On, Friday to Saturday, you can visit them from 8am to 10pm. However, the kitchen will close in the middle of the day on these days to give the chefs a rest.

The deli will be shut on a Sunday - barring the Treacle Market - but the café will be open from 9am-2pm.
