A paedophile who upskirted female pupils will never work in a school agaib.
Richard Lees, who previously taught at a school in Macclesfield, has been permanently banned from teaching following a meeting of the professional conduct panel of the Teaching Regulation Authority.
This comes after his sentencing last February, when he was jailed for two years after after admitting to to five counts of voyeurism, possession of indecent images of children, and possession of extreme pornography.
Decision maker David Oatley, on behalf of the Secretary of State, said: "In my judgement, the lack of insight and remorse means that there is some risk of the repetition of this behaviour and this puts at risk the future wellbeing of pupils
"Mr Richard Lees is prohibited from teaching indefinitely and cannot teach in any school, sixth form college, relevant youth accommodation or children's home in England.
"Furthermore, in view of the seriousness of the allegations found proved against him, I have decided that Mr Lees shall not be entitled to apply for restoration of his eligibility to teach."

A report on the outcomes of the conduct panel's meeting, published on January 22, explains that Lees worked at Holy Family Roman Catholic and Church of England College in Lancashire from April 25, 2022, until August 31, 2022, as a PE teacher.
Lees was first arrested in July 2022 for an unrelated offence which resulted in no further action against him.
However, as part of this initial investigation, officers seized a number of devices from his home address, discovering a number of indecent images of children and extreme pornography.
This included videos of women he had secretly filmed in the bathroom of his previous address in Macclesfield and upskirting images believed to relate to female pupils.
On February 7, 2025, Lees was sentenced to a total of two years imprisonment and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
He was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
The sentencing judge said: "It seems to me you are assessed as posing a risk to females with whom you have social contact, a high risk of serious harm. You are also assessed as a high risk of serious harm to children.
"People send their children to school and have a right to believe that they will be safe with their teachers and that no harm will come to them.
" I am afraid your actions have disgraced your profession and your actions are quite appalling."
