Panadero Lounge team to take on a month of fundraising for cause close to their hearts

A Macclesfield restaurant is raising money for charity.

Monday, June 1, marks the start of LoungeAid2026 and the team at Panadero Lounge are preparing for a month full of fundraising and feel-good fun.

They will be supporting Cardiac Risk in the Young, a cause close to the hearts of several staff members, with a packed programme of events including a bake sale, beach day, sponge the staff, guessing games, and a sponsored walk to Unico Lounge in Wilmslow.

General manager Sharon Bebbington said: "This June, our lounge will be hosting a series of charity events in support of Cardiac Risk in the Young and we'd love the whole community to get involved!

"This charity is especially close to our hearts following the loss of a young girl who was friends with members of our team.

"In her memory, we hope to raise awareness and lots of funds for this amazing cause.

"Our team are really excited for all the events we have planned and can't wait to welcome everyone to join us throughout June for some fun fundraising and community spirit."

LoungeAid is Loungers' annual, month-long, charity initiative, bringing together all of the company's 271 Lounges, 37 Cosy Clubs and four Brightside venues across the UK.

Each site chooses a cause that matters to its team and spends the month turning their venue into a fundraising hub.

Across the country, Loungers teams are planning more than 1,000 individual fundraising events, supporting hundreds of local charities.

Last year, LoungeAid raised an £285,000, with the aim to reach the £300,000 mark this time round.

Nick Collins, Loungers CEO, said "LoungeAid is a real highlight in our community calendar.

"We can't wait to kick off this year's on Monday and see the crazy, creative and brilliant things our teams come up with to raise much‑needed funds for local charities — all while bringing their communities together."
