Rewind North announces music legends coming to Macclesfield this summer

The organisers of Rewind North in Macclesfield have confirmed the latest music stars coming to this year's festival.
The event, which claims to be the biggest 1980s music festival in the world, takes place at Capesthorne Hall in Siddington.
Rewind North 2024 will see headliners Billy Ocean and Squeeze come to Macclesfield.
Billy Ocean has previously performed at Rewind North, and is best-known for the singles Caribbean Queen and Love Really Hurts Without You.
The 74-year-old will be bringing a specially curated Rewind-exclusive show. This spectacular show will include a big band, gospel choir and some very special guests.
He's also known for the songs When the Going Gets Tough and the simply gorgeous track Suddenly.
Squeeze close the festival on the Sunday, their first time performing at Rewind North.
The London band were meant to play last year's Rewind North, but had to pull out.
They will be blasting out their top-ten chart hits singles which include Cool for Cats' Up the Junction, Labelled with Love, and Pulling Mussels from the Shell.

Rewind North takes place at Capesthorne Hall from August 2 to August 4.
Other 1980s musicians set to play Rewind in Macclesfield include ska icon Bad Manners, Kids in America singer Kim Wilde, and Sheffield outfit Living in a Box.
Macclesfield Joy Division and New Order fans will also look forward to Sunday, with bassist Peter Hook's solo project Peter Hook and the Light returning to Rewind North for the first time since 2021.
It will be Peter Hook's first Macclesfield gig since May 2022, when he performed at Party in the Pews Festival just two months after the Macclesfield Ian Curtis mural was unveiled.
A few artists which were best-known or reached new heights in the 1990s, like R&B legend Gabrielle, will also perform at Rewind in Macclesfield this August.
The main stage show will be hosted by Jenny Powell of Greatest Hits Radio on Saturday, and by The Doctor of Dr. & The Medics on the Sunday.
The Pink Flamingo Club will once again be in the Big Top, an 80's and beyond themed nightclub, with the Edwin Starr Band performing at Rewind North on Friday.
The three-day Macclesfield event also boasts a silent disco, funfair rides, kid-zone, and a closing fireworks display.
