The Snowdogs are coming to Macclesfield!
Macclesfield Town Council have once again teamed up with Whaley Bridge-based Wild in Art to launch the 'Snowdogs Discover Macclesfield' sculpture trail this Christmas.
Following the success of last years Elmer art trail, the Snowdog trail will see Macclesfield town centre become home to ten very special sculptures from the end of November through to the start of January.
The beautifully decorated Snowdogs, including one designed by Macclesfield based artist J R Oatts, will be placed in locations such as the Grosvenor Centre, Macclesfield Library, the Silk Museum and Mill Street.
Abi Sherratt, town centre manager and communications officer, said: "Working with Wild in Art on the Elmer trail last year was a huge success, and the way it was received by people of the town was truly amazing.
"It made such sense for us to bring another trail in this year. If you ever needed a reason to come into the town centre this is it!
"Who doesn't want to see the Snowdogs. There is one decorated by a Macclesfield-based artist who has been involved in the recent Textile Week events, and one of the Snowdogs has a very unique feel to it!
"We encourage everyone to take part in the trail over the festive season, visit our local shops and businesses and bring your friends and family to Macclesfield this Christmas.
"Let's show everyone what we have to offer."

The Snowman was created and illustrated by Raymond Briggs as a picture book, narrated entirely through hand-drawn illustrations and first published in 1978 and adapted for screen by producer John Coates.
The Oscar-nominated animation launched on Channel 4 in 1982 and has been repeated every Christmas since.
Its sequel, The Snowman and The Snowdog, premiered on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve 2012 and was seen by more than 10 million people over the festive period.
Macclesfield Town Council are working with the Silk Museum, who will hopefully have some special viewings of the Snowdog film alongside their own Santa's grotto, plus talks from J R Oatts.
Trail maps will be available to download from the council website, with paper copies available at the Visitor Information Centre inside the library, as well as from various shops and the unit housing in the Snowdog in the Grosvenor Centre.
Upon completion of the trail families can collect a sticker saying they have found the Snowdogs.
