Home improvement specialists looking to 'give something back' this Easter

Macclesfield-based home improvement specialists are looking to give something back this Easter.
GEC Home have launched an Easter egg drive, encouraging the community to donate chocolate treats.
These will then be distributed to local charities, such as The Rossendale Trust, and Space4Autism.
Scott Hulme, GEC's head of operations, said: "I want to give back to the community because I believe that we all thrive when we support one another.
"Throughout my life, I've received help and encouragement from others, and I want to pay that forward.
"I see giving back as a way to build a stronger, more connected community.
"I hope to make a positive impact and inspire others to do the same.
"For me, it's not just about charity - it's about fostering a sense of shared responsibility and creating opportunities for others to be a part of."

Scott is kicking off the collection by purchasing £250 worth of chocolate.
Members of the public can drop off their donations at GEC's showroom at Sutton Garrison Business Park.
You can also request your donation to be delivered to a chosen charity.
Scott added: "I chose to create an Easter egg collection to give back to the community because it's a fun and interactive way to bring people together.
"By organising a collection, I can help spread happiness to families, children, and individuals who may not have the means to celebrate in the way they'd like.
"This activity can encourage people to come together and participate in something that's both enjoyable and meaningful, creating positive experiences for everyone involved."

The Easter egg collection isn't the only way GEC Home are giving back this year.
Anyone who purchases a composite door from them in 2025 will be entered into a draw to win £1,000, with the draw taking place in December – just in time for Christmas.
