Dancers ready to strut their stuff at annual showcase

Dancers are preparing to strut their stuff.
Sylk Dance Academy are preparing to stage their 15th annual showcase.
More than 300 spectators will come to watch the club's dancers, cheerleaders and gymnasts show off what they have learned this year.
Principal Amy Mayers said: "It is the highlight of our year as it brings the entire Sylk family together and our members not only get to perform themselves but also enjoy watching each other.
"Our beginner members are always inspired by our older, more advanced performers.
"Performing in the showcase is a massive milestone and highlights the confidence our children have built during their classes."

The annual showcase will be held at the Clonter Opera Theatre in Swettenham near Congleton on Saturday, April 26.
Sylk members aged four to 24 will take part.
As well as offering a chance to display their skills, the showcase will help raise money which will go towards new equipment and studio renovations.
Amy added: "Since the move to our new studio in 2023 our members have worked as a team to get our studios to where they are now.
"There was a lot of work to be done to create the space that our students deserved.
"We continue to strive to offer the best facilities in the area and are always looking for ways to improve and provide more equipment to aid our teaching."

Sylk are planning to hold a raffle at the showcase and are looking for local businesses to get involved.
Prizes will include a booze basket, (bottles of wine, beer, cocktails or mini alcoholic gift sets), a pamper hamper (vouchers for treatments, smellies, make up, nail varnish, hair accessories or free services) and a family night in package (small games, toys, vouchers for activities, snacks and sweets).
Amy said: "If anyone can offer anything to fill our hampers, we would really appreciate it."
