Macclesfield's newest festival is just weeks away.

Preparations are well underway ahead of the inaugural Shine a Light Festival.

Hosted by the Rossendale Trust and Space4Autism, the event promises to have 'something for everyone'.

Susanne Tidswell, the trust's fundraising officer, said: "We are super excited.

"Hopefully it is going to be a great success and people will get on board with it.

"It's the first time we've had an event like this in the town."

She continued: "There will be something for everyone!

"People can make a day of it. Bring a deck chair, enjoy the food and entertainment and do a bit of shopping.

"It's going to be absolutely packed with great entertainment from start to finish!"
