Eyes turn to 2027 after another successful Starlight Walk for East Cheshire Hospice
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 24th Apr 2026
Eyes are already turning to 2027 following another successful Starlight Walk.
East Cheshire Hospice's annual flagship fundraising event took place at Capesthorne Hall on Thursday, April 16.
Turn out was the biggest since pre-Covid, with more than 450 walkers raising over £30,000 for the charity.
Claire Gorton, senior community and events fundraiser, said: "Starlight Walk 2026 was such a special evening.
"Seeing more than 450 people come together, many walking in memory of loved ones, created an atmosphere full of compassion, reflection and togetherness.
"To raise over £30,000 is an incredible achievement and shows just how deeply our community cares about the Hospice and the families we support."

Registrations have already opened for next year's Starlight Walk.
It will once again be held at Capesthorne Hall, taking place on Thursday, April 15, 2027.
Luke Brightmore, marketing and communications manager, said: "We were absolutely delighted with the response to this year's walk and the wonderful feedback we've received since the event.
"With plans already underway for Starlight Walk 2027 at Capesthorne Hall, we are excited to build on this year's success, welcome even more walkers and supporters, and make next year's event even more memorable."
