New carpet and flooring shops enjoys successful start to life with first award nomination

Macclesfield's new carpet and flooring shop has enjoyed a hugely successful start to life.
Martha Rose Interiors on Brook Street has been open for just over a month and things couldn't have gone much better so far.
The store has already been named as a finalist for the Best New Business at the UK Small Business Awards.
Owner Neville Hinchliffe said: "We're incredibly proud to be nominated for Best New Business at the Small Business Award - It's a huge milestone for us.
"From day one, we've set out to be different, blending the best in flooring and interiors with our unique in-store art gallery to create a truly special shopping experience.
"This journey wouldn't have been possible without the support of our amazing friends and family who helped bring our vision to life.
"And of course, a massive thank you to our customers for believing in us and supporting us!"
Neville has more than two decades of experience in the industry, having spent 24 years at Arighi BIanchi.
After 11 years running the iconic Silk Road store's flooring department, he moved to Midlands-based Cousins Furniture.
Now, he's returned home, with Martha Rose Interiors opening at the Old Stables on Brook Street at the beginning of March.
"It's been a really positive start," Neville said.
"We've had lots of people through the doors which is great and plenty of positive feedback.
"We get so many comments from people saying that the store is so different to all of the other carpet shops out there, which is fantastic to hear!"
He continued: "It's very fulfilling to run your own business, it's exciting!
"We can take on feedback from customers and make changes quickly, adapting to what people want."

Neville has completely transformed what was once Massey & Dooley, an antiques and clocks store which had been sat empty for several years.
Inside you will find a wide range of carpets and wood, laminate and luxury vinyl tile options.
The space also boasts a selection of rugs and a gallery space showcasing local artists.
They also have a selection of rugs and will be hosting exhibition featuring local artists.
Neville's not finished either, with plans to offer even more products, including shutters and sofas.
