A Macclesfield Nub News sponsor gave back to good causes in the town every weekday this week.

High Peak Comps, an online prize draw operator which has sponsored Macclesfield Nub News since 2023, gives proceeds from their competitions to charities and good causes.

Bollington United FC, located behind Bollington Leisure Centre, received two prizes from High Peak Comps.

Both the PANINI World Cup Sticker set and RING Doorbell donated will be used to raise funds for the club at their end of season do, in what is their 40th anniversary year.

Chair David Spruce was pictured with the High Peak Comps-donated prizes.

It follows a £250 donation High Peak Comps made to the club last year to improve their pitch.

And professional football in Macclesfield has been supported too by High Peak Comps.

That's because a LEGO Lionel Messi figure (RRP £70) was donated to The Smethurst Foundation, Macclesfield FC's associated charity which provides free football sessions.

Schools cover the bulk of High Peak Comps' giving back in Macclesfield and beyond, such as Whirley Primary School PTFA receiving a LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog and NINJA Blast Blender ahead of this month's summer fair.

Ash Grove Academy PTA on the Moss Estate received a LEGO Friends Carnival Set, which will be raffled off at their carnival-themed summer fair raising funds for IT equipment.

Also this week, a LEGO Lightning McQueen and Ninja Blast blender was donated to Puss Bank School PTA ahead of their summer fair.

High Peak Comps is owned by Charles Edwards.

"Giving back is at the heart of what we do," said Charles.

"We give back where our players are, and we are grateful for all the love we have in Macclesfield."

High Peak Comps have also pledged to buy raffle prizes for Hurdsfield Phoenix U17s, to help them afford new kit for their final season in youth football.

And they are set to make a donation to All Hallows Farm at All Hallows Catholic College next week.

"We are proud to give back to good causes in Macclesfield," added Charles.

"If you are interested in contacting High Peak Comps' giving back team please email [email protected]."

The company, which offers prizes to win in low-odds competitions such as cash, experiences and tech, has giving back at the core of its values with over £120,000 given to good causes in 2025.

Prize draws are held every day, with winners being announced on the High Peak Comps Facebook page in interactive live draws.

Upcoming online prize draws you can enter at High Peak Comps include an Apple-themed instant win and a draw to win a games console or £400.
