Just like that another weekend is upon us and it looks set to be a hot one again, with temperatures floating in the mid 20s.

A busy weekend lies in store with the much-anticipated return of Macc-Pow a particular highlight.

Thursday (26/06)

Macc-Pow

Macc-Pow 2025 kicks off on Thursday with a screening of Mallrats at Cinemac.

The festivities continue all weekend long, with Macclesfield Town Hall hosting the main comic market place on Saturday, along with a host of workshops and panels.

Lots of other local venues are also getting in on the action, including Monocle Cafe, Flour Water Salt, B&V, Pizza Express and Proper Sound.

Music@Mike's

The next lunchtime concert at St Michael's Church features Steven Davies and friends playing traditional English folk tunes on a variety of instruments including concertina, recorder, flute and pipes.

As always, entry is free but donations to East Cheshire Hospice and St Michael's are welcomed.

Pride and Pandemonium

Get ready for a MaccPride special edition of the popular spoken word event, Poetry Pandemonium.

Hosted by Mark the Poet with special guest Dominic Berry, there will be open mic opportunities also available for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to share their words.

It is free to attend.

Friday (27/06)

Sip and Paint

Periwinkle & Clay Studio on Wood Street are hosting a sip and paint pottery decorating evening.

Guests are invited to bring along a drink and enjoy a three-hour 'grown-ups only' session.

Each ticket is a £4 studio fee, with the pottery bisque ranging from £7 to £50.

Saturday (28/06)

Bollington Well Dressing

It is the opening ceremony of Bollington Well Dressing on Saturday, taking place at Bollington Memorial Gardens.

Running until Sunday (July 6), the theme for this year's well dressings is 'Let's Go... Bollington'.

There are a total of five dressings to admire and a short trail leaflet is available in many local businesses to enable you to find them all.

Treacle Market

Treacle Market is back with over 140 stalls selling everything from antiques to clothing, plants to handmade crafts.

Open from 10am to 3.30pm, there will be live music and entertainment in Market Place from 11am.

As ever, it is also a great opportunity to explore the town and visit some of the new businesses that have opened this year.

Jumble Sale

Space4Autism on Mill Lane are hosting a fundraiser jumble sale.

There will be plenty of treasures to discover, from clothes and books to household bits and more.

You can also visit their café for delicious cakes and hot drinks while you browse.
