Saturday (10/01)

Macclesfield vs Crystal Palace

The Silkmen welcome the reigning FA Cup champions Crystal Palace to Moss Rose this Saturday.

Tickets for the match, which kicks off at 12.15pm, are completely sold out.

However, it is being broadcast live on BBC One, TNT Sports and Discovery and will be shown in many pubs across town.

East Cheshire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection

This weekend, East Cheshire Hospice volunteers will be hitting the streets, collecting and recycling Christmas trees.

Residents in the CW12, SK9, SK10, SK11, SK12 and WA16 postcodes can register their tree for collection by making a donation to the hospice here.

Last year, the collection raised over £160,000, which is enough to fund more than two weeks of care.

Bollington SciBar

January's SciBar will see Dr Michael Carroll from Manchester University speak on the topic of 'Fading Fertility'.

His talk will explore the reasons for fertility decline and the social and economic impacts of this.

It is free to attend, starting at 6.30pm at the Vale Inn in Bollington.

Prostate Cancer Support Group

Macmillan are launching a new prostate cancer support group in Macclesfield.

It launches on Monday, January 12, and will then meet on the second Monday of the month from 6.30pm to 8pm at Macclesfield Fire Station.
